Spacing


Spacing refers to the size of the space between letters, words or lines on a page.
  • When text spacing are consistent, it makes easier to read.
  • The spacing between the characters should always be even.
Spacing effect
Adjusting the spacing between letters or characters in a text to be printed is called Kerning.
  • It is normally applied to individual letter pairs.
  • Without kerning several letter combinations can look awkward.

Leading :

Leading is determined as how text is placed vertically in lines.
  • There isn't one right way when it comes to leading, it depends on the design that your working.
  • When using colors other than black text on white, increase the leading.

Every font has its own spacing so we have to know which font to use when writing.
