Objectified Movie

Objectified is a documentary film on the role of everyday non-living objects, and people who design them in our daily lives.
  • A film produced and directed by Gary Hustwit.
  • Objectified is the second part of three films on "Design trilogy".
  • It's a look at the creativity at work behind everything from a toothpick to tech gadgets and automobiles.

The film features a whole host of influential thinkers and designers in the field commenting on the things made.
  • Every object tells a story - Henry Ford.
  • When a designer makes a design his job is to look what's going to happen not what has happened.
  • A good design is something you want.
  • We tend to want a new thing that has a new look, new now and next kind of look.
There are three ways in which you look at the objects that we see everyday.
  • The first way to look at the design in a formal relationship or a formal logic of the object.
  • In second in terms of the symbolism and the contents the way you are dealing with object.
  • The third is looking at the design in a much bigger picture, looking at the human and object relation.
